Proud to Be the First: Aspect Mortgages Joins the Chorley FC Community Foundation
We are delighted to announce that Aspect Mortgages has become the first business to sign up as a Friend of the Chorley FC Community Foundation.
We have been based in Chorley since 2016 and purchased our own offices on St Thomas's Road in 2022. Since then, we have been looking at different ways to get more involved in the local community, and becoming a Friend of the Foundation felt like a meaningful and practical way to do that.
About the Foundation
The Chorley FC Community Foundation delivers a wide range of programmes across the town, and it is worth taking a moment to look at the breadth of what they actually do.
For adults, the Foundation runs Andy's Man Club every Monday evening at Victory Park, a free, confidential peer support group for men aged 18 and over. There is no need to book, and no pressure to speak. It is a straightforward, practical response to a real need in the community. Alongside that, they run Men's Social Football, Mixed Social Inclusion sessions and Walking Football for the over 50s, all focused on keeping people active and connected.
For veterans, there is a Veterans' Breakfast on the last Saturday of every month at Victory Park, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, as well as a dedicated Veterans' Football session. The Foundation also runs a Community Friendship Group and Silver Spoons for older residents, both aimed at reducing isolation.
On top of all that, there are programmes for younger people too, including junior football sessions and holiday clubs, but it is the adult and community provision that we feel is particularly valuable and often less visible.
Our Connection with Chorley FC
Our involvement with Chorley FC goes beyond the Foundation. We were recently the match ball sponsor for the Chorley vs Buxton fixture, and the whole Aspect team attended on the day. It was a good opportunity to spend some time together outside of the office and to support the club. Some of us have continued to attend games since then, and we are looking forward to getting more involved when the new season gets underway.

Richard and Mark are also regular attendees at the Chorley FC Business Club, which brings together local businesses in an informal setting and has been a useful way to build connections across the town.
An Opportunity for Other Local Businesses
The Friends of the Foundation scheme is open to any business that wants to support the Foundation's work. For £20 per month, members are listed on the Foundation's website, receive social media recognition, and get free access to the quarterly Business Club events. More importantly, the contribution goes directly towards funding community programmes across Chorley.
