Our Story
Mortgages are in our DNA. Aspect was founded by Rachel Gill in 2004 with a straightforward aim: to give clients honest, clear advice they could trust, delivered by people who genuinely care about the outcome.
Richard joined in 2007 and together they have built a family-run firm that has helped thousands of clients across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and beyond. In 2016 we moved to Chorley, and in 2022 we bought our own offices on St Thomas's Road, giving Aspect a permanent home and our clients a welcoming place to come and talk things through face to face.
We are a family-run firm in the truest sense. Not just in how we are owned and run, but in how we operate. Our team is small enough to know every client by name and experienced enough to handle the full range of mortgage and protection needs, from a first home purchase to a complex equity release case.
Why Aspect?
Independent and whole of market. We are not tied to any lender. Our advisers search across 90+ lenders to find the right solution for each client, and we also hold direct relationships with lenders not available to all firms, which means access to deals you will not find everywhere.
Experienced across the board. Our advice team has decades of combined experience across mortgages, equity release, protection and specialist lending. Every adviser is fully qualified and committed to staying current. We do not cut corners on knowledge.
Based in Chorley, working everywhere. Our office on St Thomas's Road is open and staffed. Clients are welcome to come in and sit down with us, and many do. We cover Lancashire and Greater Manchester as our heartland and work with clients nationwide.
Real people, not a call centre. When you contact Aspect, you speak to someone you know, or someone who will get to know you. You will not be passed around a team of strangers or left wondering who is handling your case.

Remote advice offered nationwide.
There will be a fee for mortgage advice. The precise amount will depend upon your circumstances but we estimate that it will be £495 for a residential/buy to let mortgage or £1495 for an equity release/retirement mortgage.
