Mortgages are in our DNA here at Aspect. We are a family oriented team, run by Rachel & Richard Gill. When Rachel started as a mortgage advisor in 1999 her first customer was - Richard, who was looking for his first home. We can't promise to marry all of our clients but, 25+ years later, it's certainly working for them!
Aspect Mortgages began in 2004 when Rachel set out to build a mortgage advice firm that put people before products. Her goal was simple: to provide clear, honest guidance that clients could trust.
Richard joined the business in 2007, followed by our Operations Manager, Carly Skelding, in 2014 - bringing fresh energy and a growing reputation for client care. In 2017, our team expanded again with the arrival of Neil Massam and Sue Slack, and in 2021, Mark Green came on board—each one bringing their own experience and commitment to putting clients first.
A major milestone came in 2022 when we bought our own offices in Chorley, giving Aspect a permanent home and our clients a welcoming place to visit.
From day one, we’ve grown through word-of-mouth and repeat business—proof that when you focus on people, success follows. Today, we’re proud to still be independent and trusted by generations of families for honest advice and exceptional service.
This history isn’t just for show — it matters. Most of our business comes from repeat clients and personal recommendations. If you’re reading this page, chances are you’ve been referred to us by someone you trust or have seen our reviews online. That means everything to us.
It matters to our clients too. A mortgage is a long-term commitment, and so is choosing the right adviser. You want a firm that will be here not just today, but in five, ten, or twenty years' time — with the experience, continuity, and values to support you through every life stage. That’s exactly what we aim to provide.
.
We focus on you before we look at products. This means we take time to understand your goals and your situation. The advice you receive is shaped around your life, not around targets or sales.
Mortgages and insurance can feel complicated, so we remove the technical terms and replace them with plain English. You always know what each option means for you.
We are independent, which means we are not tied to any one bank. We search across the market to find the right fit for you. The choice is wider, the comparison is fairer, and the outcome is designed for your needs.
We believe in building relationships that last. Many clients return when their lives change and bring their families too. We are here not just for this year but for 5, 10, or 20 years ahead.
Aspect Mortgages began as a family business and that spirit remains. We treat clients with the same care and honesty that we would give to our own families.
