Is there a charge for this service?

There's no charge to register and no cost for the initial review of your options. If you decide to proceed with a remortgage, our standard advice fee applies. For a straightforward rate switch with your existing lender, there's no client fee at all. Read more about our fees.

When will you contact me?

We'll get in touch around three to six months before your deal end date. If your deal ends sooner than that, we'll be in touch promptly. You can also contact us directly at any time if you'd prefer not to wait.

What if I don't know exactly when my deal ends?

Give us your best estimate. You can usually find the end date on your original mortgage offer letter, your annual mortgage statement, or by calling your lender. If you're not sure, just register with an approximate date and we'll help you confirm it when we get in touch.

Will registering affect my credit score?

No. Registering for the Rate Alert Service doesn't involve any credit check or credit search of any kind.

What if I want to stay with my existing lender?

That's absolutely fine and sometimes it's the right answer. We'll review what your existing lender is offering alongside the wider market and give you an honest comparison. Read more about rate switches.
