Our story

Aspect Mortgages was founded by Rachel and Richard Gill, and has been built almost entirely on word-of-mouth recommendations and repeat business - something we are genuinely proud of. Over 20 years on, the founding principle remains the same: clear, honest guidance that clients can trust, delivered by people who take the time to understand your situation.

Our team

Richard and Rachel lead the business, with both holding the Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER) alongside their mortgage qualifications. Neil Massam, our Senior Mortgage and Protection Adviser, is also qualified to advise on equity release alongside mortgages and protection. Mark Green, Sue Slack, and Ranveer Bretherton round out our team of mortgage advisers, each bringing their own experience and expertise to clients across the region.

Behind the scenes, Carly Skelding keeps the business running smoothly as Operations Manager, while Hayley Kirk supports our clients as Case Manager - making sure every case progresses as efficiently as possible from application to completion.

Our office

We are based at 16 St Thomas's Road in Chorley - office premises we purchased in 2022, giving us a permanent home in the town and a genuine open door for anyone who prefers to meet face to face. We have gradually renovated the building, including sustainable insulation and energy systems, which has given us a useful working knowledge of green mortgages from the inside out.

Being rooted in Chorley matters to us. We support fellow independent businesses on the high street, enjoy the regular street markets on our doorstep, and take full advantage of Astley Park for the Aspect office dogs.
