The Big Chorley Sleepout 2026
One night outside at Victory Park, Friday 13 November
On Friday 13 November 2026, a hundred people from across Chorley are being asked to give up their beds and spend the night outside at Victory Park. The Big Chorley Sleepout is organised by Chorley FC Community Foundation, and the goal this year is to raise £15,000 for three local organisations.
Registration is open and costs £5.
Aspect Mortgages is one of two event sponsors, alongside Scope Fire & Security, and our team will be sleeping out on the night.
Where the money goes
Funds raised are shared between three local organisations.
Chorley FC Community Foundation uses football and community activity to improve lives and build stronger, healthier and more connected communities. It is a registered charity, number 1183529, affiliated to Chorley FC but run separately from the football club.
Let's Make a Difference supports people experiencing homelessness and provides the help they need to rebuild their lives.
Chorley Buddies provides practical support, food and essential items for local families and individuals experiencing hardship.
What happens on the night
Registration opens at 7pm, when participants arrive and get settled. There is a welcome, then evening activities with entertainment and guest speakers, before everyone sleeps outside at Victory Park. Breakfast is shared together the following morning before people head home.
Toilet facilities are available at Victory Park throughout the event. Refreshments are provided during the evening and breakfast the next morning, and participants give dietary information when they register.
The event goes ahead in most weather conditions. If severe weather makes it unsafe, the Foundation contacts registered participants directly.
What to bring
A warm sleeping bag. A sleeping mat or cardboard. Warm, waterproof clothing. Hat, gloves and extra layers. A reusable water bottle. Any medication or personal items you need.
More detailed timings and kit information go out to everyone who registers.
What it costs and what to raise
Registration is £5. That confirms your place and helps cover refreshments on the night.
The suggested fundraising target is £150 per participant. With 100 sleepers, that is where the £15,000 goal comes from. It is a suggested target rather than a condition of taking part, and registered participants get a fundraising pack with graphics, templates, message ideas and promotional material.
Signing up as a business
Businesses can register under their company name, with staff fundraising together through one shared business page. Community groups and groups of friends can do the same.
Why Aspect is involved
We are sponsoring the event and the team is taking part in it.
Aspect has been based at 16 St Thomas's Road since 2016, a few minutes from Victory Park. The three organisations this raises money for work with people in the same town we do.
The Sleepout is one part of a longer commitment rather than a one-off. We are members of the Friends of the Chorley FC Community Foundation scheme, which supports the Foundation's work across the borough month to month rather than event by event. Separately from the Foundation we are at Victory Park for games through the season, and we attend the Chorley FC Business Club each quarter so it makes sense for us to support events like this.
Take part
Registration for the Big Chorley Sleepout 2026 is open now. If you cannot make the night itself, there is a donation link on the same page.
